Abel is a large man elected as the new village leader by the Tochikans. He wins out over Holly's father, who promptly leaves the village in search of the Phoenix. Abel is seen as kind and fatherly, and has powers over the Magic stone. He later helps defend the village against Naga's forces, and consequently loses his life.
