When you are called on to assist a struggling family, you travel to Age and meet Aroma. She lives on a broken-down ranch that she and her older brother Zest inherited from their parents after they died, and you help them fix it up and teach them about monster breeding. Aroma in turn becomes your assistant, helping you learn the ropes at AGIMA. It becomes apparent that she misses her mother a lot, as she mentions her several times throughout the first game.
After Holly takes over as your assistant in Monster Rancher Advance 2, Aroma and Zest visit your ranch frequently through various points in the game. Aroma is excited that a famous FIMBA breeder like Holly is now living near them, and she helps you practice sparring.
Later, Aroma returns to explain to you the process of creating monster soulmates, which allows you to use special attacks in Monster Rancher Advance 2. She also tells you about her plot to get her brother together with Ayase.
Aroma tends to be impulsive and a bit inexperienced, much like Genki is in the anime series. Although she takes on too many challenges, she is a great friend to Holly and always forces her to relax when she seems stressed, even taking her out for shopping trips and such.
