One of the main exports of the Parepare Jungle and Kalaragi Rainforest, Bananas are a staple in the diet of many of the monsters and people in those areas. Not to be confused with the smaller Banana Ring variety or the Magic Banana variety. For some reason, only the Banana Peel is used as item in Monster Rancher 3.
Several times during the anime series, characters are seen eating Bananas.

Feeding your monster Bananas in this game will slowly begin to turn your monster a yellow color. It also increases the Speed stat and will make monster happy, but feeding it regularly is fattening and stunts growth.
