A type of Durahan that wears a tall helmet with spines on the sides of its armor, and a black sword that glows red with energy when it's upset. It has been slightly redesigned over time, the most notable being its sleek new look when it appears as a level boss boss in Monster Farm Lagoon. It has a weakness to soil-type attacks.
In the Monster Rancher 4 and Monster Rancher EVO descriptions, it mentions that this is the armor worn by those serving the "King of Darkness." Since it mentions in My Monster Rancher that this period of history is lost to us, it is safe to assume that these warriors fought for Xevion.
Etymology[]
Based on the Úlfheðinn (sometimes called a Berserker), mythological Norse warriors who fought in a nearly uncontrollable, trance-like fury (where we get the English word berserk). The Úlfhéðnar were said to wear the pelts of bears or wolves when they went into battle.
