Captain Horn (Tsunomaru taichō in Japanese) is a pirate who's traveled around the world with his crew on his ship, The Jolly Roger, hunting for treasure. He often refers to himself and his Rockies as "kind and righteous pirates".
Appearance[]
Horn is a Suezo with ice blue and dark blue skin. He has a single horn over his forehead, a green eye with a slit for a pupil and sharp teeth, unlike other Suezos. He wears a black pirate hat with golden edges and a red bandana around his neck.
Season 1[]
The Searchers meet him at a port town where they are attacked by the Zuum Troops. In need of transportation across the sea, Genki's group asks him if they can ride aboard his ship. While he seems initially reluctant, Captain Horn proposes that he ferry the gang to the next island after being kissed by Holly. His crew ferries the searchers across the sea with Golem holding the mainmast of the ship, but the group is ambushed by an army of Zillas. While they are able to defeat the water-based monsters, their master, Gooji, makes an appearance and almost sinks the ship. After a struggle, the crew sends Gooji into a whirlpool and reaches land again.
Season 2[]
On episode 47, Pixie tells Genki that Horn and other friends he made along the way are fighting battles in various places against the baddies. He's then shown fighting on his ship with Allan and his Worms' help, against several Arrow Heads, Jells and Weeds.
Season 3[]
On episode 62, Captain Horn is again seen being kicked out of a bar because he couldn't afford to pay for the drinks he was requesting. The searchers happen to find him right as they wondered where to find a ship that could take them to their next destination. Although Horn doesn't recognize them at first, he does very much remember Holly, wrapping her with his tongue and trying to kiss her. He reveals to them that his ship was stolen overnight while he and his crew partied inside a nearby cave, but he tells them that he has a second ship that turns out to be a small raft.
After rowing for hours, they come across a big ship in the middle of the ocean, realizing that it's actually The Jolly Roger. After they get aboard, they're ambushed by a bunch of Ghosts with baddie crests that steal the Disc stone from Holly and tie them up to leave them in the ship's basement. Horn manages to set himself free by teleporting and then helps the rest. Later, they discover that the Ghosts tied the helm so the ship keeps going straight into a cliff to sink with the searchers and the captain in it. After some fighting, Suezo and Horn teleport to a cabin with a megaphone and sign in a terrible way, making the baddies flee. Captain Horn gets his ship back and takes the searchers to their destination before leaving with his crew to sail the sea once more.
