Coltia, often referred to as Colt, is a bright young explorer who appears in the anime series and the video games. She tries her hand as a Breeder's assistant for IMa at one point. Colt rivals Holly as the most frequently-used Monster Rancher character.
In the Anime
In the anime series, Colt appears in Episode 40 as an explorer who investigates the Pendant city ruins. She tells Holly and Genki all about the history of the people and their connection to the Magic Stone artifacts.
In the Games
Although her background is in exploration and archaeology, Colt takes a break to become your Breeder's assistant in Monster Rancher 2. Her age isn't stated on her assistant card, but she is speculated to be about sixteen years old by fans. Colt grew up in Galoe, and she always has her pet toucan Joy with her. In Monster Rancher Advance 2, you learn that she has become an offical breeder for IMa herself, and she faces you and Holly in the IMa/AGIMA Amnity Cup.
If you decide to play Monster Rancher Battle Card as Aya, you will meet Colt. She doesn't talk to you much until you get an Expert Pass.
She is also the main character of Monster Rancher Battle Card 2, and she ends up getting sucked into the Paradise of Monsters.
In Monster Rancher DS, you find out that Colt has accepted a job as the mail lady in Borgan, and she is one of your D-2 Class tournament opponents in My Monster Rancher.
