The Dark Disc is a special type of Mystery Disc that bears the symbol of the ancient Pendant Civilization on its surface. The Baddies begin to use this as a symbol of their hatred, thus the name "Dark Disc." Unlike other Discs, it can only be unlocked at a shrine with the use of a Magic Stone.
It originated after the renewed fight between Moo and the Phoenix, when they both erased their respective bodies in a large sphere of light, attempting to fuse with each other, to stop the eternal fight of Good and Evil. Moo's Dark Soul and Holly's Father, sunken within the evil soul, were then trapped together inside of the disc.
Holly and Mocchi coincidentally come across the disc and get to the conclusion that it must be Moo's Mystery Disc and therefore also contains Holly's Father. After reuniting with the remaining Searchers, they try to find a new magic stone (as the one she had was consumed) to free Holly's Father and lock Moo's Soul inside forever.
Through an informative of the Jell Troops, the evil General Durahan also learns about the Disc and sends many of his henchmen to get it, intending to somehow harness the power of the evil soul and fuse with it to become the most powerful monster, but they all fail.
The Searchers eventually manage to free Holly's Father, but Durahan, Weed, Gobi, Poison and Mum Mew manage to steal the disc, which still contains Moo's Dark Soul. Durahan finally merges with Moo's Soul but loses control of his body when the evil soul's immesurable malice dominates him, absorbing his subordinates and allowing him to become a massive Ruby Knight with no weaknesses or disadvantages. The Searchers are somehow incorporated into Ruby Knight's consciousness, where they see the baddies struggling to escape from the restraints put on them by the evil soul. When they try to sacrifice themselves to shield Durahan and his minions from an attack by the soul, the baddies give up their impure ambitions and join forces with the Searchers, helping them become a more powerful Phoenix, In the end, after a final collision, the evil soul is defeated and forced to flee into the horizon, and all monsters and humans trapped within it are freed. Though believed to be destroyed, it's said that his evil might return some day.
