Dixie is a Pixie breed that originally had a Dino sub-type, which gave it its green skin and thick scales. Later, the name and appearance were transferred to the Pixie/Zuum mix.
In Monster Rancher Battle Card, the level boss who lives inside the Frant's Tree Ruins appears to be a Dixie, and since Dinos appear in the game instead of Zuums, it must be the Dino sub-breed. The green variation of Pixie in the Online games looks a lot like this monster as well.
Etymology
Its name is a combination of the words dinosaur and Pixie.
