Poannka is a small town that goes unnamed in the anime series, but is big on trade in the semi-arid land that connects the Black Mountains to the Koki Plains of Aurora Island. It has Dutch-style architecture and many peddlers come there for the giant open-air markets. Unfortunately, Moo's influence is very strong there, and it seems the Dinos and Black Dinos threaten the citizens quite a bit.
The Searchers stop there in Episode 2 of the series and are thrown out after announcing that they are going to fight against Moo. Consequently, they stay with Matthew and Lilly just outside the city. Later, they backtrack after being lost in the Morx Forest and arrive just in time to help Tiger stop the Dinos from killing the denizens.
Poannka holds a tournament each year that can be fought in in Monster Rancher 2.
