General Durahan is one of the chief villains after Master Moo's Big Bad Four are defeated in the anime series. Regard as Moo’s strongest high rank general above the Big Bad Four, he commands a vast army of Moo's troops ruling the Eastern Continent. Travelling in his flying warship and domain, an Iron Bird, he is sent on a special assigment with his side-kick and significant other, Lilim, to steal Holly's Magic Stone and stop the Searchers from accomplishing their goal to find the Phoenix.

Season 2[]

Durahan is summoned by Moo from the Eastern Continent to eliminate the Searchers after the fall of Naga, the last of Big Bad Four. Though subservient to Moo, he secretly desires to overthrow him in order to become the leader of the Baddies himself, with his girlfriend Lilim supporting his ambition and actively encouraging him to do so. Durahan sends out many of his powerful warriors from his collection: End-Bringer, Chariot, Metal Jell, Astros, Renocraft, and Gangsters, but all of them fail to stop the Searchers.

Durahan eventually receives an order from Moo through Captain Weed to retrieve the Magic Stone, an item that's capable of helping Moo overcome his weakness to sunlight, something that he is skeptical to follow after losing so many of his troops, but Lilim convinces him to take part in the plan. It's revealed that Durahan decides to take the Magic Stone for himself and uses it as a leverage in order to kill Moo while he's still incomplete.

After End-Bringer’s defeat, Durahan makes a vow that he will destroy the Searchers

Unknown to Durahan, Lilim has become interested in the prospect of power that Moo will have once he absorbs the Magic Stone and betrays him along with the force from the Eastern Continent, killing Durahan's loyal soldiers and destroying his remaining collection in the process. Nevertheless, Durahan has anticipated the betrayal and reveals that he has always kept the Magic Stone on himself, knowing that Moo's air force will not dare to attack him and his Iron Bird while he escapes in order to not risk destroying the Stone along with him.

During the chase, Durahan runs into an unexpected battle with the Searcher who manage to follow him with Suezo's "Teleport", along with Lilim who sneaks on the ship to take back the Stone. Though Durahan proves to be a formidable foe against the Searcher, easy overwhelming every attacks from them, he is finally defeated from the combined power of the Searcher through Mocchi Cannon, causing him to realize that it's the Searcher's teamwork that allows them to overcome him.

Before the Iron Bird crashes due to being attacked by Moo's force, Durahan takes a revenge on Lilim and stabs her with the remain of his sword, with both seemingly killed by the crash.

Season 3[]

Unexpectedly, Durahan survives the crash, but is confined to a life support with the help of one of the loyal Weeds, being aided by Mum Mew, Gobi, and his new girlfriend Poison, with them using the crashed site of Iron Bird as their new base of operation. Knowing that Moo is defeated by the Searcher and is now sealed inside the dark Mystery Disc in possession of the Searcher who intend to revive Holly's father from it with the new Magic Stone that they plan to get from winning the Legend Cup, Durahan plots to steal the Disk and uses its evil power to restore his body and becomes the most powerful monster of all.

Having successfully rebuild/recover his collection, Durahan sends out many of his new warriors to claim the Disk, only to repeatedly fail after one another as the Searcher getting closer to their goal of winning. Realizing that he also needs the Magic Stone to unlock the Disk's evil power, Durahan has his minions focus on restoring the Iron Bird back to its original glory, so they can ambush the Searcher and steal both the Disk and the Magic Stone from their nemesis at the same time, with Mum Mew, Gobi, and Poison participating as audience to "cheer" for Mocchi to win the cup. When Mocchi ultimately lost to Most in the final moment, Durahan orders to them to steal the Magic Stone from Most directly, only to fail due to Most's strength much to his chagrin.

Nevertheless, Durahan and his minions resume their original plan after knowing that Most has given the Magic Stone to the Searcher, chasing them across the sky and overwhelming them with Iron Bird's firepower, but is once again defeated after the Searcher attack his ship directly, destroying the control system and crashing the ship, with the Search assumes that Durahan is gone with it this time.

However, Durahan and his minions survives the crash and resurfaces to steal the Disk and the Magic Stone from the Search later that night, after the Searcher revived Holly's father from the Disk. Succeeding in their goal, Durahan has his minions combine his body with the Disk's evil energy, preparing to become the most powerful monster. Though Durahan's plan runs into a minor problem when Mum Mew, Gobi, Poison, and Weed are all forcefully combined along with him after being attacked by the Searcher, he successfully transforms into Ruby Knight and unleashes his newfound power upon them and counters every techniques used on him. Ruby Knight is then confronted by Holly's father who has regained his memories during the time that he was Moo, and is told by him that the evil power is far too great to be controlled by everyone including Durahan himself.

As Ruby Knight trying to deny his claim by harming Holly's father forcing the Searcher to be consumed by the power of hatred, the dark power leaks from Ruby Knight envelopes the area and takes the Search into the mental world where a horrific truth is revealed: Durahan and is minions didn't merge into with the evil power within the Disk but is in fact being consumed by the remnant of Moo's evil soul within it, not unlike what once happened to Holly's father. The five of them are then freed by the Searcher with the help of the summoned Phoenix, with the Searcher protecting them from Moo's attack. Having witnessed and understood that the Searcher's strength comes from the courage and determination to keep going forward despite all the odds, Durahan convinces his followers to join their strength with the Phoenix, allowing the firebird to finally overpowers Moo's evil soul and destroys it for good. Phoenix's resurrection power also restores Durahan and Weed's physical bodies and removes their baddies crests.

Now freed from his own evil ambition and turned good, Durahan and his followers devote themselves to aid the human and and create a better world for everyone to live in peace and prosper.

Trivia[]

Many of his henchmen are mechanical, such as Astro, End-Bringer, Metalner, Gobi and Springer to name a few.
His only shown defeats were against the Searchers, Shogun and Moo's evil soul. Other than these instances, he seemed invincible to most monsters, making him one of the most strongest monsters in the series.
Durahan is one of a few monsters that never call out the names of their tech moves during their battle against the Searchers. However, he uses few moves that resembles and based off the ones being used by the Durahan breeds in Monster Rancher 2
Durahan is also the only General to have the highest and largest amount of warriors/subordinates/underlings under his command, while the other Generals of the Big Bad Four (Pixie, Gali, Gray Wolf and Naga) have lesser numbers than him.
While their interactions are never shown, Durahan shows a great amount of respect towards the Big Bad Four. Upon learning from Moo about the news of their defeats by the Searchers, he was left shocked and angered by the loss of his comrades, implying that he has good relationships with them. This lead Durahan in his pursuit to avenge the Big Bad Four and searching for an answer to how the Searchers were able to defeat them.
- It's unknown if he’s aware of Pixie’s betrayal and her allying with the Searchers in their journey to defeat Moo.
It's also unknown how he managed to survive his ship crashing against a mountain after suffering serious wounds during two consecutive fights. Given that he still has Weed fleet commander, Mum Mew, Gobi, and even Poison on his side, the four could be the one who saved him before he could turn into a Lost Disc.
- His feat of surviving albeit reduced into a head hooked into a life-support system was notable, owing to cases of monsters became Lost Discs from mortal injuries not as severe as him.
