This is about the anime character. For the monster itself, see Gobi.
Gobi is one of General Durahan's assistants during Season 3 of the anime series. He's often seen in the company of Mum Mew.
Appearance[]
Due to his main breed, Gobi is a tall and heavy monster with a strong build, disproportionately long arms and big hands. He also takes characteristics from his sub-breed, such as his golden, metallic and mechanical body and robotic voice. He has a single eye, represented by a green lens in the center of his face, but no other facial features (nose, mouth, eyebrows).
Until his redemption on the last episode, he had a baddie crest on his chest.
Season 3[]
Abilities[]
Gobi isn't too keen on fighting, but will display some immense hidden power under specific circumstances (for example, when Metalner took control of his mind and had him lash out at Mum Mew). Not only that, General Durahan hardly ever sends him out on missions, so he doesn't have many opportunities to prove his strength thanks to this and his kind and cowardly nature.

Personality[]
Gobi is, more often than not, next to Mum Mew, either helping her preen herself, doing heavy work or just listening to her ramble about whatever's currently on her mind. He usually acts as the muscle of the pair, never making plans of his own since he isn't very intelligent. This characteristic is present to such a degree that any attempt at deep thinking results in violent headaches that make him squat in pain. Despite his immense physical strength, he is also an enormous coward who would sooner flee from danger rather than face it, often forced to fight against his will by Mum Mew. He can't even respond to Poison when she's belittling him, neither physically nor verbally, and can only cry in frustration or sadness.
Despite his status as a baddie, Gobi is not truly evil or malicious, and is only working for Durahan out of his inability to stand up for himself. When able, Gobi enjoys making friends, taking pictures of himself with the warriors that Durahan awakens. He was shown getting sad when they leave, unlike anyone else at Durahan's lair, and even moreso when they don't return.
