A cold breed of Tiger with swirled silver fur and power over wind and ice. They tend to live in the coldest areas that they can find, and their howls can be heard for miles. It is obtainable as a special "throwback" in Monster Farm Online, as a reference to the old Tiger design in a game where it has been changed to the Raiga design.
Gray Wolf plays a pivotal role in the anime series, as the brother of the famed bandit, Tiger of the Wind. His transformation into a Baddie threatens to destroy Tiger's path to becoming a hero.
Etymology[]
Named for the Grey Wolf, a wild canine breed that mostly lives in North America and hunts in packs.
The album art for Rolling Stones' Bridges to Babylon (the CD used to unlock Gray Wolf) features a silver lion, colored similarly to monster in the game.
Its Japanese name, Gingiraigā, consists of the words gin (silver) and raigā, the Japanese name of the Tiger breed, which means "thunder fang", making this monster a "Silver Tiger".
