Hoppers are small monsters resembling sugar gliders, bush babies, or lemurs. These energetic monsters are exclusive to Monster Rancher 2 and are normally seen hopping or digging around the ranch. They rely on boxing moves, and have a lot of accuracy. Although fairly weak, they are needed to unlock Undine, Niton, and Zilla.
Hoppers tend to create black and white monsters when combined (in theory). No known Hopper sub-types have been confirmed yet.
Etymology[]
Hoppers are named because of their huge feet and ability to leap great distances. This likely references the bipedal hopping ability of the real-life ring-tailed lemur, a primate endemic to Madagascar (which Hopper greatly resembles).
Its Japanese name is Hoppā.
