This monster has a pure obsidian shell carved all over with ancient hieroglyphics. It also has beady, glowing red eyes. They were said to have been bred to serve a specific goddess, but then became popular as guards for other mystical places.

Isis was the benevolent Egyptian goddess of nature and magic. Apparently, these monsters were used as guards at her temple.
