A rare breed of Ape that is exclusive to Monster Rancher 2 as a non-playable level boss. It has a strange curled mustache and wears a pink jacket that makes it seem like it may have escaped from the circus.
You can meet and fight a King Ape on the Intelligence errantry to the Parepare Jungle.
Etymology[]
Its name is meant to be a reference to King Kong, a giant mythical gorilla.

Obtaining[]
- NOTE: Due to a possible glitch, the King Ape can only be encountered AFTER the Magic Banana is in the Items Shop but BEFORE Nageel is available. Failing to encounter and defeat the King Ape during this period will lock the player out of obtaining its book information.
