Lana is a young woman who lives with her father in the town of Tongue Bool. She (like many of the women from the area) dresses in beads and paint, much like a Native American. She is very invested in the youth of the area and asks for your help in keeping the local orphanage running.
You later learn that she was childhood friends with the brothers Albert and Bernart, until she nearly died of an awful sickness. Bernart searched the Timpano Desert for an herb that would cure her, but when he brought it to her bedside she thought he was his older brother. In her feverish state, she confessed her love for Albert, leaving Bernart heartbroken. For years afterward he let her believe his brother had saved her life.
