Mamou are woolly mammoth monsters introduced in Monster Farm Online with a dark gray coat, which later became a blue-gray in Monster Farm Lagoon. Some are about the size of a cow while others can grow much larger, and they have a large set of ram-like tusks as well as a pair of horns, plus a third smaller horn in the center of their foreheads. They are used as a pack animals in the snowy mountain regions of Pangaea and their milk is very popular.
Mamou have a sub-breed called Mosutoro that is fur-less and lives in the swamps, and there is an ancient, non-playable elephant/turtle monster in Monster Rancher 4 that may be their early ancestor. Mamou are also referenced in My Monster Rancher through an item called "Mamou Milk" that monsters seem to love.
