Monster Rancher Wiki

Mocchi is one of the seven Searchers, the main protagonists of the anime series. He is unlocked in the first episode from Genki's CD (used as a Mystery Disc) after the Mystery Disc that Holly and Suezo found brought Genki to their world. Mocchi becomes Genki's monster partner, following him and learning from him. Obviously the youngest on the team, Mocchi also grows the most throughout the series. Though he is capable of speech like the others, he constantly says "chi" at the end of his sentences as an accent of sorts.

Season 1[]

Mocchi appears towards the end of the first episode after being unlocked from Genki's CD rom in place of a Mystery Disc and becomes Genki's partner.

In the second episode, Mocchi almost parts ways with Genki when he suggests that he live with an elderly couple that have no monsters, but in the end stays with him when the Mystery Disc they find and unlock turns out to be a Spot Dino and they give it to the elderly couple.

In Episode 3, Mocchi and the Searchers encounter Golem in the ruins of a fortress and a graveyard of lost discs. After fighting the Jell Troops, they convince Golem to join them in their quest to find the Phoenix.

In Episodes 5 and 6, Mocchi and the Searchers meet and are joined by Tiger of the Wind and Hare, respectively.

As the series progresses, Mocchi gains strength through battling the Baddies and becomes capable of a new technique called the Cherry Blossom Blizzard. When Mocchi finally went up against Moo for the first time, he attempted his Cherry Blossom Blizzard attack against Moo, but enemy wasn't even affected and Mocchi was worn out.
