Nina is a girl who ends up training Gray Wolf after he is reborn. Together, they decide to try to beat the Greatest 4 Tournament.
Nina is cheerful and easygoing and cares deeply about her monsters. When they lose a battle, she immediately runs to check if they're okay and does her best to comfort them, even if she really wanted to win. She's always been fascinated by the Legend Cup, but never dared aim so high until she met Gray Wolf.
She's very playful and lighthearted, which can sometimes anger Gray Wolf due to his more serious personality as an adult. Ever since they met, she's always loved petting him and messing with his mane, much to his disgust, though she doesn't take that personally and only does it so he lightens up. Despite her kindness towards her own monsters and newly met friends, she can also get serious and treat her opponents as such, not feeling any remorse about pinning two brothers against each other in the finals of a tournament. When she found out that Tiger and his friends would be participating in the same Greatest 4 as them, she dropped her naivety and merely saw them as enemies as long as the event lasted. At the end of it, she was in good terms with her rivals and held no hard feelings for the Searchers for winning.
Season 3[]
Nina shows up on Episode 66, walking into Colart to participate of the Greatest 4, alongside Graywolf and Hopper on their quest for the Legend Cup. When the Tiger brothers run to meet each other, she gives them some space before approaching them to find out that this stranger is none other than the long-lost brother that Graywolf always talks about. She looks content to see her monster finally encounter someone who meant so much to him.
Later, she's seen sitting with the Searchers as they all share dinner together. When Tiger asks how he met her, she tells the story of what happened that day. She had gone up the mountain with Hopper to train amidst a snowstorm; when she told him to use his Lightning attack, Graywolf's disc, covered in snow, received the shock and seemed to react to it, which prompted her to be surprised at first, before walking to look into that pile of snow. Having discovered an unlockable disc, she rushed to the nearest shrine and easily brought Graywolf back. Seeing him, she got so excited that she ran towards him and tackled him with a hug, making him fall over, verbally rejoicing as she effusively showed him more affection than he had ever received. When she introduced herself and Hopper to him, she told him that they'd stay with him forever, no matter what, and when he tried to act tough, ignoring her, she shook his head from side to side with one hand, asking why he's so nervous and calling him weird, right before Hopper joined to pull from the corner of his mouth, forcing a smile. Nina laughed at this, before Graywolf growled angrily, making her fall off her feet. With Nina now sitting to be at eye level with him, Graywolf closed his eyes and announced that he'd stay with her for a while. She mocked him before scooting closer and forcing a smile on his face again, reiterating what she had said about him staying with them forever. When the flashback ended and Graywolf told the Searchers that he had chosen to trust her, she repeated the head-shaking gesture on him again, mocking his seriousness but being repelled when he protested about it again. Tiger thanked her for taking care of his brother, but she expressed her gratitude to him instead, saying that meeting Graywolf had motivated her to enter the Legend Cup, being fascinated by it since she was little, but not daring to attempt it before. That revelation shocked everyone but she didn't understand why, until Graywolf asked Tiger if they were going for it as well, seeing that there was a chance that the brothers would have to face each other during the tournament on the next day.
The next day, when Nina and her team crossed paths with Genki, Tiger and Mocchi, she completely ignored them, seeing them as nothing but rivals, leaving all her natural friendliness aside. Graywolf and Hopper won their respective fights and made it to the finals, just like Genki's team. She gave Hopper advice during his match vs. Mocchi and cheered on him until the end, but saw him getting knocked out after the final blow, having to rush to his aid. She did the same for Graywolf when he fought Tiger and remained otherwise silent, not being quite as conflicted about seeing the two brothers attacking each other after not being together in a long time. Upon his defeat, Nina ran to comfort Graywolf, and when he apologized for losing, she told him, glassy-eyed, that what mattered most to her was that he did his best.
After the tournament, Nina says goodbye to the Searchers, saying that she plans to keep training for the next Greatest 4, still seeking to get to the Legend Cup.
