Though he goes completely unnamed in Monster Rancher Advance 2, there is a jovial peddler who will show up in the Aspia town square from time to time and allow you to buy specialty items that change by the season (sort of like the disc peddler in Monster Rancher 2). Norm will stay in the square for one month after you first trigger him, and then will leave for a short time.
In My Monster Rancher, there is a specialty item called Norm's Flute which is said to have an effect on time. Because he sells this flute in Monster Rancher Advance 2 and the fact that he is previous unnamed, it is believed that Norm may actually be this peddler.
