Presents can be given to the monsters of another ranch. They increase a monster's fame and the other breeder earns monster medals in return. Of course, some presents are better than others.
In some games, monsters will give their Breeders presents if they are feeling very generous. In other games, monsters will request presents if they have acquired the Willful Trait.
In My Monster Rancher the shop only sells presents for monsters.
