A very powerful, dark Dragon breed who is one of the strongest monsters in the later games. Its name and design were changed several times, becoming more fierce-looking and eventually adding red-orange tips to its tail and wings. Ragnarok also appears as a non-playable boss monster in Monster Rancher 3 to beat the game, and is one of the most difficult monsters to obtain in Monster Rancher Advance 2 and My Monster Rancher.
Oddly enough, Ragnarok goes from having a known sub-type to being a ??? sub-breed in several games, which is the opposite of how it usually progresses.
Etymology[]
In Norse mythology, Ragnarök is a series of future events, including a great battle foretold to ultimately result in the death of a number of the gods, the occurrence of various natural disasters, and the subsequent submersion of the world in water.

Obtaining[]
- To obtain a Laguna in Monster Rancher 1, combine a Dragon with a Monol. Only ??? Sub-Types of the unlockable monsters can be obtained off Disks.
- To obtain a Ragnaroks in Monster Rancher 2, use
- To obtain a Ragnaroks in Monster Rancher Advance 2, you must first complete the Emperor's Cup twice. Raise any Gali sub-breed monster (it must have the power of light) to Class A or higher. Aroma, Zest and Holly will talk about a powerful Dragon one day. Then on April 1, Ragnaroks will attack your ranch. It has close to 700 in every stat, so be prepared! Beat it and receive the password DRG_RGN to unlock it at the shrine. This will also unlock FeaterGold and Wyvern.
