Rip and Rap are two little Tochikan girls who used to live near Fleria before she became a monster breeder. They dislike her because they claim that years ago she cheated them out of an expensive Melon Cake that an elder in their village bought for them. They also hint that that wasn't the only dessert item she took from them...Unlike most characters in the game whose storylines are confined to a single area, Rip and Rap can appear in any area on the map.
Rap has short, wavy strawberry blonde hair (and instigates most of the fighting), and Rip (who is more shy and demure) has dark red hair. The two of them share the responsibility of caring for the family's monster, a male Suzurin named Colin. This is similar to the brother/sister duo Chunk and Raun from Monster Rancher Battle Card.
