Sand Lessie (short for Sand Lesione) is a desert-dwelling breed of Lesione whose cobra headdress and sandpaper skin made it appear to have a Bajarl sub-type when it first appeared in Monster Rancher 3, but because the game does not allow combining, monsters are classified according to where they live. Sand Lessies live in the desert region known as Takrama. Later, they received a makeover for Monster Rancher Advance, which made them look more Mew-like and bright yellow, but the designers realized this was incongruous with the name and went back to the sand-toned skin for Monster Rancher Advance 2.
Etymology[]
So-named because it lives in the desert and has skin the same color as the sand.
Its Japanese name is Sandoresshī.
