What used to be the thriving capital city of the Rusetara province, Sekitoba sat very near the peak of Mt. Sekitoba and in its prime was a place where travelers from all over the world stayed as they tried to unlock the secrets of the last great tower of the Ancient peoples. Much of the income was based on tourism and the sale of ancient artifacts.
Unfortunately, much of this changed when a powerful priest named Nada came pretending to want to learn about the tower. She eventually used her magic and her monsters to take it over, believing that its secrets would help her become the most powerful ruler in the world. She was eventually stopped by Cox in Monster Rancher Explorer.
Since this experience, the city residents have become understandably guarded with outsiders, and security is paramount. Before entering the city, you must check in at the Guard House. When entering the White Tower, the most prominent feature in the city, you are only allowed to take one monster with you at a time. You have to drop off any other monsters at the city's Monster Check Room.
After a typhoon destroyed most of the continent, Sekitoba became the only city on the newly-formed Tower Island.
