Serene is the receptionist at BOMBA that helps you with almost all game functions in My Monster Rancher. She assists you with notifications, sends you on missions and helps you out with anything involving the academy Shrine.
It is assumed that either she has taken over for Sapphire or that she works alongside her as an assistant.
