A bird monster that seems to be a cross between a turkey and a parrot. The only Monster Rancher games that it appears in to date is Monster Farm Online and Monster Farm Lagoon. It is a wind-type monster that relies on surprise and confusing attacks. They seem more competent in battle than many other bird monsters, but much more animalistic than Raidens.
In Monster Rancher EVO, the members of the Orcoro Circus meet an ancient bird named Mao Mao that closely resembles an over-grown Shigue. Designers have later noted that this monster was responsible for the Shigue's design.
Shigue was one of the few known monsters set to be released in a game called Monster Farm Jamboree for the Nintendo DS, and was featured in some of the marketing before the game was shelved. Its design was slightly different at the time, a bit more like a parrot with blue and green plumage, but about the size of an ostrich. Once the game was put aside, they decided to redesign the monster entirely.
