A type of Durahan that wears thin, antiquated armor and carries a sharp katana, but is known to be one of the scrappiest warriors. Its golden mask looks like a human face, and its helmet is bell-shaped. In Monster Rancher Battle Card, a Shogun appears as a non-playable opponent, and one also appears in the anime as a notorious bad guy who is losing his touch as he gets older, but still tries to stay in the game.

A shogun was a hereditary military officer in Japan in olden times, usually appointed by the Emperor. They wore this type of armor.
