In Episode 24 of the anime series, the Searchers stop at a lake on the edge of the Korupu Forest to rest while Holly recovers from her ordeal with the Black Worm Troops. They later learn that this vast lake is protected by an Undine, who is secretly working for Gray Wolf.
Apparently there is an island in the middle of the lake that emerges when the water level is low. Undine can control the tides to make this island visible or sink it below the surface.
