Powerful monsters dressed in half-blue, half-red outfits with golden manacles on their arms and legs, Valkyries have wings on their backs and ankles, and wear their hair up. The Valkyries have the best Defense of any Pixie in Monster Rancher 3, and later reappear in Monster Rancher Advance 2. Because of their feathered wings and red/blue color scheme, they are suspected to have a Shigue sub-type.
Etymology[]
The Valkyrie in Norse mythology are a host of female figures who choose those who may die in battle and those who may live. They take half of those to the hall Valhalla, ruled by Odin. They dress in armor and have beautiful wings, and often ride pegasi (winged horses).

- To obtain a Valkyrie in Monster Rancher 3, use
- To obtain a Valkyrie in Monster Rancher Advance 2, raise any Pixie breed to Class A and explore the Goddess Statue in the Promiass Ruins. Holly will find an inscription about an "angel of light" and give you the password Valhalla, which you can use to unlock Valkyrie. Ayane, Kali, Apsaras and Seraphim will also become available.
