A flabby breed of Hare that has marbled dark brown, dirty-looking fur and strange eyes with large eyebrows. It was renamed from a previous installation, and is redesigned as the Scurfy in Monster Rancher 3 because of its popularity. However, because this game does not allow combining, it does not have a Worm sub-type. Instead, monsters are classified according to where they live. Scurfys live in the jungle region known as Kalaragi.
This monster also bears a striking resemblance to the Kelarino of Monster Rancher 4, and is later brought back as a rare breed in Monster Farm Online commonly referred to as Macho Hare.
Etymology[]
Originally named after Groucho Marx, a famous actor with bushy eyebrows.
Later named for its "wild" (crazy or disheveled) appearance. Its Japanese name, Torukurenchi, is a pun on torque wrench, a tool used to apply precisely a specific torque to a fastener such as a nut or bolt.
Its third name is a mistranslation of scruffy, meaning untidy in appearance.
