Wit went to Elives School with Phayne before Monster Rancher 4 takes place. Throughout the game he seems helpful in getting your Training Gadgets and helping you track down the culprit who is experimenting on monsters. But in the end it turns out he has been the mastermind the whole time. Wit (and TeeTee as his accomplice) has been creating monster androids, and paying people to let him experiment on their monsters.
Using the research of the famous scientist Nahze and the stolen Tome of the Black Arts, Wit is searching to modify as many monsters as possible, as it turns out that he is being used as a pawn by Xevion. The ancient monster plans to have Wit unlock him and to take control of all of the modified monsters, using their technological enhancements as a link. Wit reveals that he desires the power from the Tome to become more powerful than Phayne, only to realize his mistakes in the end. When Xevion blocks their exit from Kawrea Volcano, he, along with TeeTee, Rio and Phayne are saved by Suzaku.
After Xevion's defeat, Wit surrenders his breeder's license to IMa. As punishment, IMa orders him to do research on how breeder and monster bonding could be improved. He agrees to their terms and has dedicated his life since to the study of the breeder-monster bond.
